Is TaalPro trustworthy?
A good question, and one you should ask every school. Here you can read who we are, what we do and never do, and how to check it yourself.
What you always get from us
- A free intake and a free level test, with no obligations.
- Clear monthly prices, known in advance.
- An email confirmation of everything you request from us.
- You can cancel or withdraw online, just as easily as signing up.
What we never do
We do not sell diplomas
You only get an official diploma after an exam with the Dutch government (DUO). Anyone promising a diploma without an exam cannot be trusted.
We never ask for your DigiD
Your DigiD belongs to you alone. You register for exams with DUO yourself. We never log in on your behalf.
We do not promise a pass
Nobody can guarantee that you will pass. We promise good lessons, honest feedback and a plan that suits you.
We do not pressure you
No fake offers, no countdown timers and no “only 1 place left” unless it is true. You decide at your own pace.
How we handle reviews
We only publish experiences from real students, with their permission. We do not pay for reviews and we do not edit their content. We only show a photo or name if the student agrees.
How we handle your data
- We only ask for what we need to contact you.
- Our website uses no advertising or tracking cookies.
- We never pass your details on to others for advertising.
Quality mark and DUO loan
TaalPro does not (yet) have the Blik op Werk quality mark. This means you cannot pay for our courses with a DUO civic integration loan. You can check whether a school has this mark yourself on zoekinburgerschool.nl.
How to recognise scams
- !Someone promises a diploma or exam result without you taking the exam yourself.
- !You receive an email or message “from DUO” with a link to log in. DUO does not send links to its login page and does not email from Gmail or Hotmail.
- !Someone asks for your DigiD details, a copy of your passport via WhatsApp, or payment with gift cards or crypto.
- !There is no Chamber of Commerce number, address or fixed contact details to be found.
In doubt? Report suspicious messages to DUO (meldingfraude@duo.nl) or to the Fraud Helpdesk (Fraudehelpdesk).
Can I take the exam online or at home?
No. You do not take the official exams at home, but on a computer at an exam location. You take the State Exam NT2 at one of DUO's six locations: Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Rijswijk, Rotterdam, Utrecht or Zwolle. You take the civic integration exams (such as KNM and the A2 language exams) at DUO. You take the exam abroad at a Dutch embassy or consulate. Does someone offer an online exam or a diploma without an exam at DUO? Do not trust it. You can practise online for free: see free practice exams. TaalPro's lessons are online; the exam is not.
Do I get a certificate or diploma from the level test?
No. The level test helps you choose the right course. You only get an official diploma after an official exam, such as the civic integration exam or the State Exam NT2. Those exams are administered by the Dutch government, not by TaalPro.
Can I pay for the course at TaalPro with a DUO loan?
No, not yet. A DUO loan can only be used for courses at schools with the Blik op Werk quality mark, and TaalPro does not (yet) have that mark. With us you pay a fixed monthly amount. You can use a DUO loan for the exam fees.
Do I need DigiD, and may someone else log in for me?
For Mijn Inburgering you need DigiD, with SMS verification or the DigiD app. You apply on digid.nl if you have a BSN and are registered with a municipality. You are not obliged to use DigiD: for the State Exam NT2 you can also register with a DUO form. Never give your login details to anyone else, not even to us. Want someone to help you?
