    How we work

    On this website we explain exams, civic integration and costs. People make important decisions based on this. That is why we work like this:

    Official sources only

    • We take facts about exams, rules and amounts only from official sources: DUO (including inburgeren.nl and naarnederland.nl), the Board of Tests and Examinations (staatsexamensnt2.nl), the IND, the Dutch government, wetten.overheid.nl, the BIG register and IDW (Nuffic and SBB).
    • Every guide lists its sources, with the date on which we checked everything.
    • We keep exam fees and exam dates in one central place, with the date of the last check.

    How we keep it up to date

    • We take the exam dates of the State Exam NT2 from the official schedule every month.
    • Every month we automatically check whether all links to official sources still work.
    • We review the exam facts (fees, rules) at least every six months. Our website warns us if a check is overdue.
    • Has something changed? Then we update the text and add the new check date.

    What we never do

    • We do not promise that you will pass and we do not state pass rates.
    • We do not post made-up reviews and we do not claim quality marks we do not have. TaalPro does not (yet) have the Blik op Werk quality mark; the site says so.
    • We do not sell exams or diplomas. You take the exam at DUO or at the embassy.
    • We do not give immigration advice. The IND decides about your residence.
    • We never ask for your DigiD.

    Our free tools

    The level test, “Which exam do I need?”, the exam planner and KNM practice run in your own browser. Your answers are not stored. The result is an indication, not an official result.

    Translations

    The website is available in Dutch, English and Persian (Farsi and Dari). The English and Persian texts are translations of the Dutch text. We have them reviewed by native speakers. Official names (such as Staatsexamen NT2, DUO and Mijn Inburgering) stay in Dutch, so you recognise them in letters and on official websites. If in doubt, the Dutch text and the official source apply.
